Visualized Self

How can we make better use of the data we gather about ourselves? From various passive sensors like Oura rings, Whoop straps, and Apple watches, to subjective surveys, we are curious whether viewing that data in glyph form might spur our knowledge of the patterns that lead to wellbeing and performance.

Us & china foreign aid funding

China funds foreign aid projects around the world, but with little transparency about who and what they’re funding. This visualization will use data about their aid projects from William & Mary along with information from the World Bank, World Health Organization, and USAID to examine the locations of their projects.

maritime situational awareness

Maritime security is a topic that threads across several critical issues: the conflict and territorial disputes around the South China Sea, our economy via global trade routes, the health of our environment, and our food stores. We’re pulling several different datasets together to see if we can find patterns at the intersection of this information.
